Webinar Recap: Facilitating the Transition from Saving to Retirement Income

Even so, Bonnie Treichel, JD Founder and Chief Solutions Officer at Endeavor Retirement, is bullish on the prospects for promoting retirement income vehicles and making them part of what an employer makes available to employees. In the Sept. 15 Broadridge webinar “Translating Retirement Income into Plan Design Decisions,” she remarked “We’ve never had a more hospitable environment than we do right now.”

The momentum began, Treichel said, with 2008 action by the Department of Labor (DOL), but “the big spark” was the enactment of the SECURE Act in 2019. “Enactment was a really big deal,” she said, and provided a “specific roadmap.”
